A global digital agency have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Development Manager will have previous hands on coding experience and will be looking after two teams across the open-source stacks (they primarily consist of PHP technologies across both MVC and various CMS eCommerce platforms as well as many more!). The Development Manager will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across their amazing portfolio of clients which has been extremely well cultivated over a number of years. They are an innovative agency and often provide immersive experiences for their users, taking projects from start to finish, as well as maintaining some key accounts. The Development Manager will be responsible for translating requests from the business into specifications, working closely with the stakeholders of the business. They have several sites throughout the UK if you prefer an office environment.Key Responsibilities:
Proven commercial experience in a hands on development background- able to assist and support their current software development teamExperience with one to ones and able to identify training needs, as well as setting goals and targetsArchitectural experience / strong understanding of SOLID and OOP principlesInvolved in the recruitment processesExcellent understanding of open-source technologies Implementing agile methodologies Good understanding on the whole development lifecyclePlanning and managing sprints and working in an agile environment alongside the product teamAssisting in re-factoring their existing code baseWorking closely with a variety of cross-functional teams across QA, designers, DevOps and development
