Hybrid Working - 2 Days On-Site Per Week

Inside IR35 - up to £770.58pd total to Umbrella

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this international banking group for ten years, we are assisting in the hire of a contract Cyber Security Technical SME to join the project team responsible for designing and implementing large and complex cybersecurity products. This is an initial 6-month contract.

A key part of this role is conducting security reviews. You will be responsible for reviewing the designs created by external infrastructure teams to ensure solutions comply and conform with relevant policies, reference models, regulations, and best practices. For internal projects within Cyber, you will also have some hands-on technical involvement in writing both low-level design and high-level design.

The other part of this role will be in the involvement in hands-on technical delivery of cyber technologies and solutions (such as PAM, SIEM, Proxies, Web Gateways etc.) so a broad technical understanding of cyber tech is needed (but you don't need any in-depth implementation or SME level experience).

Skills, Experience and Expectations

*Experience conducting security reviews and ensuring solutions comply to best practice

*Hands-on/technically able to write low-level design and high-level design for cyber projects

*A broad technical understanding of cyber technology and solutions (no specific experience needed)

*May come from a technical background, before moving into Security Architecture Design / Delivery

*Knowledge of security standards and framework going to be especially helpful

*Experience with Cloud Security Architecture (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS) useful

*Role Split: Approximately 60% Security Review Work, 40% Hands-On Delivery Work

*Hybrid Working: Must be happy to spend two days on site each week

*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is offered on a PAYE basis (via an umbrella company). The day rate is budgeted up to £770.58pd and this is the total amount we would pay your nominated umbrella. It is inclusive of holiday accrual and employer pension contributions. All statutory deductions (both Employers and Employee NI, Income Tax, Apprenticeship Levy, etc.) will be deducted from this figure.

This role would be suitable for those who have held positions such as Senior IT Security Engineer, Lead IT Security Engineer, Senior Cyber Security Engineer, Lead Cyber Security Engineer, Senior Information Security Engineer, Lead Information Security Engineer, Cyber Security Architect, IT Security Architect, IT Security Specialist, IT Security Consultant, Cyber Security Consultant, or similar.
