An expert multi-disciplined specialist engineering business based in Derby (Derbyshire) who’re a highly innovative technology business are now seeking to hire for an Embedded Software Engineer to join the organisation on a permanent. The company is considering all levels of professionals ranging from Graduates through to Principal Level.
 
This Embedded Software Engineering role entails the candidate to be a British Citizen as well as obtaining and retaining an unconditional DV security clearance.
 
Work arrangement:
The work policy at the moment is 5 days a week onsite due to the nature of work a 37.5 working hours a week .
 
Salaries Ranges for Embedded Software Engineers:
Graduate Embedded Software Engineer: £25,000 - £32,000 per annumJunior/Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer: £32,000 - £45,000 per annumSenior Embedded Software Engineer: £45,000 - £55,000 per annumPrincipal Embedded Software Engineer: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum 
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
Consideration of talented, fresh recently qualified graduates/postgraduatesDegree in a STEM subject, computer science, engineering or math’s subject or demonstrable equivalent experienceExperience of the full lifecycle for real time embedded software developmentEmbedded Software Programming in C, C++Network interface protocols - GPIO, I2C, SPI, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, TCP/IP etcExperience of Software Unit Test automation and tools - Embunit, Simple Test LDRA, Parasoft etcUnderstanding with MISRA complianceKnowledge of static analysis toolsGood teamwork and communication skills 
Desirable & highly advantageous nice to have skills:
Bare metal for embedded software developmentExperience using JTAG, ETCM, emulators, debuggers, and simulators to develop, debug and test codeScripting: Perl, TCL, Python, Bash, Ruby, GroovyMultithreaded application developmentRTOS - FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks or similarDeveloping software security solutions such as optimized cryptographic algorithms etc.RUST and Ada SPARK experienceVersion Control Systems - GIT, SVN, CVS etc.
