Due to the promotion of the existing post holder we are recruiting for this exciting operational leadership role within Abbot's Lea School. As IT Manager you will provide IT support to staff and students to help students learn, achieve and progress, both in and outside of school. You will ensure school has adequate network, hardware and software in place to meet the needs of the school both now and in the future and maximise the use of existing technology and emerging software and technology in order to improve learning and achieve value for money.

You will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure to ensure if it fit for purpose and meets future needs as well as making sure the network is operational during agreed access hours and fix failures.

You will monitor staff and student usage of our software and equipment to ensure compliance with policy and coordinate the Helpdesk function, ensuring SLA's are met and reports are analysed to find faults and training needs.

You will also work in partnership with the Facilities Manager, liaising with external contractors in order to ensure school systems are installed and maintained e.g. door access, CCTV, VOIP telephony and mobile phones. You will also design and deliver training to staff and provide support to remote learners and workers who may be experiencing hardware or software issues.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in IT, or have relevant experience in this area. You will have exceptional IT skills as well as strong analytical and organisational skills. Your communication will be clear and concise and you must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met.
