IT Support Engineer / IT Support Analyst / Desktop Support Analyst / Desktop Engineer / 2nd Line Support / 2nd Line Engineer

This employer is a leading IT solutions company. They are looking for a keen and driven Windows Support Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for a variety of roles, managing your own time and solving problems with a sense of ownership. They work closely with Finance, Entertainment and Media companies which gives the great opportunity to have exposure to these professional services. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is looking to grow and progress and be able to come in and make an immediate impact on their team.

They are looking for a technically capable, IT engineer with 4+ years' experience to join their Managed Services Team in central London. They have several clients that are looking for onsite assistance and therefore you will need to have a great desk-side support manner. These clients typically have 15 - 40 users.

Essential experience in the field:

- IT Literacy with a good working knowledge of Windows 10 and the Microsoft 365 platform

- Mobile Device Management for client/user management (Intune)

- Running Powershell Scripting

- An ability to build/rebuild/configure Windows 10 platforms as per a specification

- Good working knowledge of Active Directory

Desirable but by no means essential experience within the field

- Experience with any RMM tool

- Experience with hosted VOIP telephone systems

- Networking Experience, especially with Ubiquiti and Fortinet

They work on a rotation basis where if you are on site for the financial clients this will be an early start and an early finish otherwise they are happy for you to work from home. For the early starts it is crucial that you are onsite from 7:45 until 16:45, without this they will not be able to consider your application. This is on a rotation basis so some weeks you will not need to be on site and so you can work from home from 8:30 to 17:30.

The role is primarily desktop focused and working with the various service providers whenever there is an onsite issue however occasionally you may need to perform other duties including but not limited to liaising with suppliers.

Desirable personal attributes

- Confident character

- Professional manner

- Good at troubleshooting and thinking 'outside of the box'

Salary - £30,000 to £33,000 dependant on experience.
