Astute Graphics are seeking a full-time Senior Web Developer to help drive the continuous growth of this established and profitable company. An exciting variety of projects include our existing SaaS customer-facing website, desktop deployment software and exciting future innovations.

We are an award-winning, agile team producing creative software tools used by designers world-wide over the last 15+ years. Clients include many household brands such as Adidas, Disney and Apple as well as thousands of agencies and freelance creatives. The vast majority of purely digital product sales are handled automatically online with around 90% exported.

Responsibilities

Main tasks and responsibilities 

Maintain and develop Astute Graphics' website and online services (public and internal) to both enhance existing functionality and introduce new functionality

Work with colleagues including existing Web Developer and Senior Web Designer to continuously improve the user experience

Maintain and continuously enhance online security of the purchasing, ordering, customer database and related system(s)

Self-manage tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery

Manage the existing Web Developer tasks and personal development

Regularly report progress to management

Gain a full understanding of our Laravel/Vue based applications to ensure proper maintenance and continuous improvements

Document processes and structures

Support colleagues and their understanding of the online systems

Report to the CEO

Qualifications and Skills

Experience

5+ years of commercial experience

AWS Cloud management and AWS instance maintenance, including set-up of Linux web server running NGINX

2+ years experience with the Laravel PHP framework and best practices

Vue.js and Vue based SPA

Knowledge of OOP or ability to use the best software and application development practices in a clean and professional manner

Web developments tools HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS

Experience with SaaS

Version control (GIT)

Certificate implementation and maintenance

Best practices for all development and project management duties, including Agile

General IT skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email

Preferable skills (Bonus, but not essential)

macOS development environment

Use of JIRA

Use of GitFlow

Working experience of Paddle, Stripe and/or PayPal
