DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer - Glasgow - Permanent

I am working with a leading financial services client based in the heart of Glasgow. They are currently looking to recruit a Devops Engineer to join them during a period of growth to work on new and exciting projects. This is a permanent opportunity and will operate on a hybrid working model.

As a Devops Engineer you will help leverage some existing digital app capability whilst focusing on building brand new customer-facing digital features, with the user interface fully designed, built, and owned in-house. You will be a key member within one of multiple agile feature teams, implementing automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practice across the full tech stack.

Main duties:

• Developing automated and robust software delivery pipelines suitable for a regulated industry
• Producing and maintaining scripts for automation
• Facilitating changes through the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code
• Ensuring SonarQube is in use across all application components and actively monitor its output to ensure high code quality across the development team
• Ensuring Veracode is in use across all application components and actively monitor its output to ensure there are no cyber security vulnerabilities

Experience required:

• Hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Chef and Linux (command line)
• Experience in DevOps
• Proven scripting abilities with Bash, Groovy, Python or equivalent
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A proven agile mindset is key
• A passionate technologist and keen to use the latest tools and techniques to automate
