Associate Director Supply Chain

My client is a well-known pharmaceutical company based in Cork, and they are looking for an Associate Director Supply Chain to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role of Associate Director Supply Chain would be responsible for r managing the purchasing of raw materials and consumables to support manufacturing at the site, the inventory profile & supply plan for large and small molecule products, site supply chain metrics (OSSCE) , site business continuity planning and SAP business system owner.

As Associate Director Supply Chain you will;

• Management of the buying / planning team including completing performance reviews and development planning
• Ensure robust processes are in place within the Buying / Planning team to translate MRP signals to vendor PO's and planned appropriately to meet production requirements
• Ensure alignment between Buying / Planning team and Supply Chain Consultants in relation to the manufacturing plan: 0 - 24 months
• Manage the resolution of all direct material & consumables constraints
• Key point of contact cross functionally to ensure NPI projects are supported and PO's are placed in an appropriate time frame and planned appropriately to meet production requirements
• Manage customs & duty process for Supply Chain

Experience and Education:

• Previously demonstrated leadership/mentorship through existing or previous roles
• 5+ years supply chain experience within the pharmaceutical industry
• Bachelor Degree in Science or Supply Chain
