IT Operations Engineer Salary - £40,000 - £45,00 plus bonus and industry leading benefits packageLocation - West Midlands (hybrid - 1 day per week in the office)Job Type - Full Time, PermanentRole My client, One of the UK's leading companies has an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Engineer, to manage and support application delivery solutions; Microsoft AppV, SCCM, and Citrix XenApp/Xen Desktop, as well as the health and update of many of the applications in the production environment. You will be working with both the technical leads from within the team and stakeholders from around the business. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate IT incidents, problems, changes and service requests assigned to the IT Operations team in accordance with SLA's, policies and procedures.Identify and support on major IT environmental issues affecting software applications especially those relating to resolution of live technical incidents and systems problems as and when required, in accordance with the ITIL framework.Develop and maintain IT technical standards and policies for software, technology, information and services that are aligned to industry practice and the strategic IT roadmap.Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, third party suppliers and consultants to ensure the effective delivery of objectives and representation of the function.Identify, propose and implement improvements for supported applications to drive continuous improvement in the delivery of quality and efficiency that meet recognised IT standards.Key Skills and Experience required: Extensive experience working with Windows OSEvidence of effective troubleshooting skills at a 2nd/3rd Line LevelExperience of supporting internal applicationsExcellent communication skillsExperience of Azure (or similar Cloud experience)ITIL foundation or working towardsAny experience of PowerShell, Python, JavaScript or HTML scripting is advantageous but not essentialAs is any experience of using SCCM, Rundeck and understanding of Citrix/XenApp/Xen Desktop environment.
