Senior Embedded Software Engineer now needed in Bristol (free parking) to join a growing design services company. Ideal Embedded Engineers will be hard-working, knowledgeable, driven, and able to work alongside the wider teams, to ensure multiple projects are delivered both on-time and within budget.

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer should ideally have 5yrs+ embedded C / baremetal development expertise with good hardware appreciation and knowledge of some of the following: 

  • Embedded linux / device driver development
  • Microprocessor peripheral driver development, especially for serial communications (i.e., UART, I2C, SPI)
  • Developing OTA comms protocols (i.e., Command Interfaces, Bootloaders)
  • software version control methods
It would also be beneficial to have  some additional experience in the following areas:
  • Mobile development (Android / iOS)
  • Python
  • Java
  • Microsoft Visual Studio C# / C++
