An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead on IT support at our Prep School due to the previous post-holder being promoted internally. As part of an enthusiastic and friendly team of ten, you will be responsible for providing high quality IT support services to staff and pupils within a busy service desk environment. The post would be suitable for an ambitious graduate or an experienced first line person looking to progress their career by taking on wider responsibilities.

The School operates on a healthy IT budget, giving opportunities to gain experience in a variety of Enterprise level Hardware and Software Systems, including VMware running on HP Enterprise Server & SAN Storage Hardware, HPE Procurve Switches with HPE IMC, Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems & Microsoft Exchange Server, Redhat Linux Servers, Veeam Backups, Disaster Recovery, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows 10 Desktop PCs deployed with Microsoft Windows Deployment Server, Sophos XG Firewalls, Lightspeed WebFilter, Xirrus WiFi, 1000+ iPads managed with JAMF MDM, Google Enterprise, Office 365, Cisco Internet Routers with BGP. Experience in these systems is not required but used to demonstrate the breadth of involvement on offer and that IT is a core strategic priority within the School.

You will most likely have direct experience of working within IT support and be confident in dealing with a wide range of user queries. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Some flexibility with regards to hours or days worked is essential and a willingness to provide Saturday cover on an occasional rota basis is desirable. We welcome conversations about any flexible working requests and can assure you of a rewarding environment with industry leading systems to develop your career.

Candidates are requested to submit a completed Application Form (found on our website) supported by a full CV, as soon as possible and no later than 09:00am Friday 20th May 2022.

Applications will be considered as they are received and the vacancy may therefore close earlier than advertised and should be sent by clicking the APPLY button.

Previous applicants need not apply

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The post holder will be subject to a DBS check.
