Every year UAL carries out research and knowledge exchange programmes of significant importance; often exploring and challenging the world we live in, how design can make a positive impact to make the world more sustainable, bring people together, and accelerate new technologies. Each project must deliver to a high standard, adhere to funding regulations and University policies.
As Research and Innovation Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring research, innovation, and knowledge exchange projects are both compliant and deliver maximum value in terms of research outcomes, outputs, dissemination, impact, and follow-on activities.
Using proven methodologies, such as PRINCE2, PM² or Agile, you will support academic staff at each stage of the project, from proposal stage to securing funding, implementation, monitoring and reporting. This will involve regular communication with funders, partners, and academic staff across the University. Your project management expertise will play a key role in supporting UAL to continue being a world leading centre for research and knowledge exchange.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2) and a proven track record in managing research and innovation projects (including financial/budget management), as well as experience of managing contracts.
