DBA Database Administrator Cambridge / WfH to £55k

DBA Database Administrator (Linux SQL) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a data savvy technologist seeking an opportunity to continually learn and develop your skills within a highly technical environment?

As a DBA Database Administrator you will join a small team to manage all database platforms in the business with a focus on MySQL and SQL Server. You'll collaborate with BI and ETL teams to advise them on best practice for database configuration, review the performance of queries and recommend changes for optimisation utilising your knowledge of MySQL for design, implementation, performance tuning and capacity planning. You'll be able to take ownership of projects and manage internal stakeholders as well as carrying at more BAU activities such as managing permissions, user authentications, backup and recovery and database tuning.

You can work from home 1-2 days a week, when you are in the office you'll be based in Cambridge (about a 20 minute walk from the local station and with regular shuttle bus; there's also parking available) and a range of perks including free top quality catered lunch every Friday, social activities ranging from sports to board game nights; breakout areas and solo pods.

Requirements:

You have SQL Server and ideally MySQL database experience

You have a good knowledge of Linux OS

You have experience with replication, clustering, performance tuning, capacity planning etc.

You have strong analytical and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills

You're degree educated in a STEM discipline
