Are you an Electrical Design Engineer, or an Electrician with experience working on Solar PV?

They have thrived in recent years as the UK strives towards net zero carbon, and they are now in need of a Design Engineer to join their team and facilitate future success.

In this role, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for producing designs for commercial scale solar PV projects, mainly roof-top but also some ground mount and car port projects. This is an office based role with occasional travel to site for surveys.

The ideal candidate will be an electrical design engineer looking to get into the solar PV sector, or a qualified electrician with experience working on Solar PV looking to get into design work. Candidates must have a good level of CAD knowledge and be commutable to North Somerset.

The Role:

*Produce designs for commercial solar PV projects using industry specific design software (e.g. PVSol)

*Estimate costs and produce quotations for clients

*Consistent communication with clients ensuring design meets specification

*Provide technical design knowledge and support colleagues and client

*Office based role with occasional site visits to carry out surveys

*Working closely alongside Sales and Installation team

The Person:

*Electrical Design Engineer OR Electrician with experience working on Solar PV

*Knowledge and experience using CAD (ideally PVSol)

*Knowledge of wiring regulations

*Experience working with or having existing relationships with DNO is desirable

*Commutable to North Somerset
