Site Reliability Engineer - £50,000 - £55,000 - Manchester - Biotechnology - Remote WorkingOverview:
My client, a leading Biotechnology organisation are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join one of their growing teams in Manchester. You'll play a key role in helping to develop software which makes a real impact to people's lives whether its developing Covid Tests and vaccines or helping scientists detect cancer.
Roles & Responsibilities
Maintaining a one-click deployment pipeline using a combination of Terraform and Spinnaker on Kubernetes.
Implementing a secure, scalable, operationally robust infrastructure (primarily on AWS).
Helping to continuously improve and refine the build and deployment process.
Developing and improving our monitoring and observability tooling.
Assisting in the maintenance of the development, staging and production environments and deployments, including incident support
Essential Skills & Experience:
Maintaining a one-click deployment pipeline using a combination of Terraform and Spinnaker on Kubernetes.
Hands on implementation of monitoring stack for availability and performance, leveraging monitoring tools such as Data Dog, AppDynamics, Nagios etc and configuring alerts for early failure detection.
Good Kubernetes administrative hands-on skills especially managing and maintaining workflows
Experience of distributed technologies & repos like Github, Bitbucket.
Good understanding with public cloud technologies (API GW, Route53, ACM , RDS/AWS DynamoDB, AWS Redshift, ElasticCache, EKS, AWS Cloudwatch)
