Job DescriptionYou will become a key player in a small team supporting an Enterprise IT infrastructure based on HPE Hardware, VMWare, the Microsoft technology stack and Citrix. The role is substantially hands on, although there will be significant elements of solution design, problem solving and project implementation involved. Your knowledge and input will be respected and valued.

Role & ResponsibilitiesWith the rest of the infrastructure team ensure the IT infrastructure is available at all times.Proactively maintain and update core IT Infrastructure and ensure high availability of essential services. Ensure that all infrastructure processes (for example change control, security etc) are followed at all times. Develop, maintain and test the UK IT Business Continuity Plan in accordance with business requirements. Ongoing proactive work to eliminate older technologies (remove "technical debt").Support the other IT teams in the delivery of projects / Standard Operational Procedures, as required.Core IT Infrastructure disciplines including but not limited to Windows Server, Networking, Virtualisation, Scripting, Security and Storage.Cloud skillset including Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Intune.Proven track record in designing, managing and implementing infrastructure projects from concept to completion.Influence technical decisions on wide reaching and fast paced strategic IT projects.

Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Enterprise SAN Storage/Switching and Servers (ideally HPE). Knowledge of Networking (ideally Aruba, Cisco and Fortinet).Knowledge of Virtualisation (ideally VMware/HyperV).Knowledge of working in Remote Datacentres.Knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Netscaler appliances.Knowledge of IP telephony, including SIP trunking.Knowledge of Database management, high availability and basic queries (ideally MS SQL).Scripting using PowerShell or similar.The ability to identify and apply security best practises based on industry standards.Ability to self-manage and proven ability to execute.Ability to collaborate with and influence peers.
