Data Engineer - Java

Fintech Start-up - Java, Machine Learning

Looking for an opportunity to create a genuinely disruptive product within financial markets? Come and join this small team of industry experts, Golang & Java developers alongside PhD educated leaders who have received the backing needed to go from prototype to product development. Automating compliance processes that are critical to the movement of Data across the food-chain within finance, is my client's main objective. Having witnessed the shortcomings within this journey themselves they are now offering an industry-wide alternative that has already signed up global investment banks as their paying clientele. They use their complex graph related modelling capabilities to offer exchanges, data-feed providers, accumulators and investment banks a much-needed route around the red-tape and a final optimized set of products.

Experience:

Java 8 / 11 at an Enterprise level (4+ years' experience)

Docker, GIT and Linux knowledge

Graph-like modelling exposure and machine learning exposure

Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP)

Knowledge of TDD, RSpec/Selenium

DevOps mindset, Kubernetes and Microservices exposure a plus

GRPC or possibly REST exposure a plus

With Data at the heart of everything this company does, this is an incredibly rare opportunity for an engineer to take ownership of a product from an early stage and help shape its implementation within some of the world's most successful financial institutes. Automating tasks, leveraging huge data sets daily including PDFs, exchange documentation, emails & bespoke feeds globally on a tremendous scale - the scope and impact this product will have, is vast.
