Software Engineer

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join one of our scaling engineering teams. You will have the genuine opportunity to unleash your full potential and creativity on a variety of interesting software projects, developing internet scale solutions in the Microsoft cloud. 

You will actively be contributing to the design & development of software products that impact millions of users daily on a global scale and make a real difference.

You will work alongside very talented, motivated and friendly teams, consistently growing as you work at the forefront of Microsoft technologies. With over 60 MVP's globally & 60,000+ Microsoft available certifications available. Avanade provides one of the best environments for Microsoft technology professionals to really develop the markets most in demand skills at pace. 

This opportunity is ideal for those with a good level of proven experience working with the .Net Framework within the Azure Cloud. You will have experience in the development and deployment of Microservices and are also passionate about executing clean code, following TDD and peer programming. 

What You'll Be Doing... 

• Delivering high-quality software which is future proof, scalable and in-keeping with product development standards. Taking a test-first approach from business requirements through to code 
• Peering with other developers on code reviews to coach and learn 
• Using the latest tech, .NET Core and a large number of Azure Services 
• Working as part of an enthusiastic and motivated agile development team, comprising software engineers, QAs and Business Analysts, to ensure the technical requirements of the marketing team are met in the most efficient way 
• Continually develop and improve our code and technology, whilst playing an active role in the conception of product development for our global customers 
• Bring your experience to bear in pro-actively contributions to project planning 

We'd love to meet someone, with some of the following.. 

• Experience using the latest versions of .NET Framework, .NET Standard and .NET Core (C#). 
• Microservices, API first and event driven architecture experience 
• Experience in Azure technologies: Azure Service Bus., Azure Cloud Services / Azure Functions., Azure Cosmos DB. 
• GitOps / Azure DevOps
• Acceptance Test Driven Development/ Business Driven development
• Experience of working within agile (SCRUM and Kanban) project environments
• Strong understanding and practitioner of Software Development Lifecycle
