Test ManagerModis are working in partnership with a leading organisation in Worcestershire to recruit an experienced Test professional to provide expertise and guidance on test management ensuring all changes to IT services are effectively managed prior to release into the live environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an established Test Manager or Test Lead, Senior Tester looking for a new challenge. You will design, implement and manage the Test Strategy for the organisation providing guidance and best practice for Testing and Transition activities. The RoleAs a Test Manager you will work closely with the change teams to ensure the successful adoption of test practices, ensuring that the deployed releases and the resulting services meet customer expectations, and verifies that IT operations department is able to support the new service. The ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring all change projects and programmes develop appropriate test and transition management plans in collaboration with the operating business unit(s), delivery managers and internal and external stakeholders to address the identified impacts for all change initiatives inpreparation for release.Work with Business Engagement Team to identify stakeholders and define the management approach to ensure on-going stakeholder engagement and buy-in to change initiatives.Prepare the training needs analysis and develop the training approach to meet the stated needs..Coach and mentor any stakeholders involved or connected to the test and transition practices, assuring the readiness of the business for change and identify associated risks and issues.Ensure all key post holders defined in the test and transition strategy and plan are aware of their accountabilities in the change lifecycle.Work with the Solution Delivery and Change Teams to ensure appropriate training is provided to all necessary to operate in the new environment.Provide detailed Service Transition performance review for changes initiatives with the internal and external stakeholders/management.Delegate for the Change and Release Manager as required. The RequirementsSignificant working knowledge of relevant IT technologies, their use and application.Excellent all-round IT knowledge, including proficiency in the use of e.g. Microsoft packages and service management tools.Excellent understanding of an IT service delivery testing and transition practicesGood understanding of project delivery methodologies, tools and practices (EG PRINCE).Demonstrable experience of supporting high priority and/or complex technical projects through the test and transition process and into support.Demonstrable experience in supporting organisations through the full lifecycle of transformational change initiatives.
