A great opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst focusing on applying cyber security best practices to a range of cloud services. If you are looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in security applications, then we want to hear from you!

ABOUT US:

Founded in 2004, we are a business technology consultancy for the professional services industry. Our combination of technical expertise and our obsession with service excellence sets us apart. Our job is to make our clients' IT work seamlessly, as well as being their trusted advisor when it comes to new IT developments including the latest collaboration and cloud technologies.

ABOUT YOU:

You have an IT or computer science related degree or equivalent experience and so will probably have a good grasp of IT fundamentals, such as Hardware and peripherals, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Server, Networking (including LAN, WAN, firewalls and routers). Experience of Microsoft 365, Azure and scripting with PowerShell are beneficial.

You are a self-starter with a real passion for learning everything there is to learn about Cyber Security. You get a buzz from solving problems in a busy environment and you understand the importance of excellent client service. You believe that the world can be a better place through the effective use of IT and want to help make that happen.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role will give you the opportunity to work as part of the Cyber Security team to provide best in class security controls and guidance to clients. This is a broad role requiring a technical and analytical mind for working on complex systems whilst also being able to liaise with clients clearly to communicate technical information at a non-technical level.

From investigating potential security issues for clients by analysing logs to deploying systems in a secure and compliant manner, there is plenty of scope to develop for the right candidate. With no ability to plan what security issues may be raised in any day the opportunity provides a varied role where prioritisation of issues and time management are key.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Initial handling and management of security related tickets from the client base

- Security & Compliance auditing of client systems - these include onsite systems as well as cloud hosted (Office 365 & Azure primarily) systems

- Security awareness testing of clients and third parties.

- Assisting in the development and delivery of security awareness programmes

- Implementation of industry security standards (Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, NIST-800-53 & Cloud Security Alliance CCM)

- Generate reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Test and evaluate security products

- Plan for disaster recovery in the event of any security breaches

BENEFITS:

- L&D opportunities

- 21 days holiday, bank holidays + birthday off

- Hybrid working (up to 3 days in the office)

- Regular performance reviews

- Regular team socials

- A fun, friendly work environment
