Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global life sciences organisation for an IT Self Service Knowledge manager to oversee the strategy in which to increase IT self-service across the business.

The role and responsibilities
Oversee the strategy to increase IT self-service enabling staff to have access to the information they need to be able to conduct simple tasks themselves.Define the method, standard and process for IT Knowledge Management, implement improvements identified following a review of the current situationMaintain an awareness of current and emerging methods, processes, and technology for extracting insight from knowledge information that educates staff and increases the digital literacyThey will ensure that information is current, relevant, and easy to find and follow, and that this simplifies the use of technology and access to data for all staffWhere tailored information is required, produce training modules for distribution.Assess the current IT knowledge management systems and information, prepare background documents, cataloguing existing IT provision and describe the effectiveness of existing policies, strategies, processes, and standards.Conduct budget management
Skills and experience
Be familiar with systems for knowledge management and methods to encourage IT self-service.Be familiar with applications and adoption techniques.Be experienced in providing training and creating quality training collateral.Have experience of ServiceNow and Workday for knowledge management would be beneficial.Possess a growth mindset. Open to new ideas and opportunities and have a positive attitude towards learning and ability to progress and achieve.Possess excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Have outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.Have conflict management skills. Elegantly resolve complex conflicts and disputes to the satisfaction of all parties.
Desirable
Experience of a managed desktop environment including the use of administrative and diagnostic tools to ensure the maintenance and integrity of the desktop environment.Knowledge of O365, Workday, Salesforce, SAPExperience working in a multi-disciplined Agile and DevOps environment.Familiar with control tools such as SharePoint, Confluence and Liquid Planner.Familiar with intent-based leadership.Familiar with lean process improvement.
