We're currently recruiting a Software Release Manager for an award winning tech company based in Bristol - a hybrid home/ office work role - part of a wider global group.

You're next role?

Software Release Manager joining the Product Delivery team, someone who can quickly take ownership of planning, coordinating and delivering new software releases. The role involves working closely with all parts of the business, a mixture of technical and non-technical stakeholders and liaising with client deployment teams.

Deliver software releases

Own the software release process from development, to testing and then delivery to the customer (internal and/or external)

Schedule, manage and coordinate releases across multiple applications and different teams and projects/clients.

Work with Test Team Leader to ensure quality measures are met before releases are delivered

Produce and maintain a release calendar to have a centralised view of all releases

Manage and mitigate risks, facilitate release readiness reviews and Release incident management

Continual improvement of the release process

Monitor the release process and collect feedback from different teams and customers

Make improvements to the entire release process, understanding client release and deployment processes & improvement opportunities

Define release quality KPIs and monitor performance

Release documentation

Who are we looking for?

Someone who understands the full software cycle, coming from a Release Management/Coordinator, Project Management, Development or Software Testing background

Have experience of the lifecycle of Agile Scrum software delivery

Have strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and able to flexibly work under pressure

Able to define, implement and champion best practices and methodologies

Knowledge of DevOps methodologies

Ideally has knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git and TeamCity and an understanding of technical architecture and terminology

The company: Develops an award-winning product which has let them become a leader within the global healthcare insurance industry - an extensive platform consisting of Core back-office automation, Open API and integration suite and Digital solutions serving customers and all parties in the insurance value chain. The development team is split between Bristol, UK and Cairo, Egypt.  Six scrum teams, working in three-week sprints, are continuously developing new and existing products across the product suite, each taking ownership of a particular domain.
