Software Developer Remote / London to £50k

Software Developer (PHP WordPress Agile Unit Testing). Would you enjoy working fully remotely as a Software Developer for one of the UKs leading media brands for women? Want to work on brand new digital products that will have over 5 million monthly subscribers? The company create compelling content across areas such as life enhancement, fashion, food, and fitness and you will be able to play a key role in increasing audience size, engagement, and retention of users.

As a Software Developer you will be working within the company's Product team alongside Data Engineers, QAs, and Developers. The team are scaling and have hopes of doubling within the next few months as there is a strong pipeline of development work making it an exciting time to join. You'll be working on brand new products across subscription models, pay wall, registration, and events utilising PHP and WordPress. The team are re-platforming the entire website, building a brand-new front end in React and GraphQL and have recently migrated to AWS which you will be taught on the job as well as Terraform and Docker.

This is a fully remote role allowing you to work from anywhere within the UK.

Requirements:

You have previous experience in a Software Developer role using PHP and WordPress

You have been heavily involved in customisations using WordPress

You have strong Unit Testing skills

You have good knowledge of programming principles including SOLID

You enjoy working as part of a team and communicating with others

You have excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable: AWS
