We've come a long way in our journey to be more digitally focussed with regards to how we work with deaf young people and their families. The onset of the pandemic showed how we could pivot to "do" digital to deliver services to more people than ever online. We've never reached so many people as we do now. Around four times more people are accessing our online services than before the pandemic, all thanks to the effort and drive of everyone working together to create new, innovative ways to deliver our services.

If we're going to achieve our vision of no deaf child left behind by 2030, we need to be doing even more. We can't just 'do' digital we need to ‘be' digital.

We have recently launched a transformation programme that is putting a laser focus on meeting the needs of all its customers. Our ambition is to reach 100% of families with deaf children and make it easier and faster than ever for customers to interact with NDCS. To achieve this, we are continuously designing, building, and supporting innovative user-centred digital and non-digital projects. Fundamentally, we are transforming how we work so we can create and develop our services and campaigns to best meet the needs and aspirations of all deaf children, young people, and their families. We want to improve the way information and services are accessed by our customers and empower staff to deliver these based upon real customer needs.

We are now looking for an Agile Delivery Manager to work across our varied portfolio of projects and services, who will be part of cutting-edge digital development for systems and products that are crucial to the delivery of services and our future. With customers at the centre of everything we create, you will be part of fast-paced, challenging and incredibly rewarding delivery, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams from across the organisation.

As one of the most experienced members of the team, you will have the ability to embrace complex digital products and services. You will also be responsible for coaching the agile team and contributing to the transformation programme across the organisation and ensure smooth and effective delivery using the most applicable agile methodologies whilst iterating and improving with the team.

As an agile lead, you will have experience working with senior leaders, stakeholders and third parties to drive agile transformations at an organisational level. You will be a part of a transformation team driving cultural and procedural change and embedding agile approaches and ways of working. With a strong background as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach (or similar roles) you are focused on delivery, while supporting the creation of self-organising and high performing teams.

To apply for this role, you will have to complete an online application and specify how you meet the person specification criteria, as outlined in the job description. To do this, we suggest that you download the job description prior to starting your application.

Currently, the application process works best on desktop / laptop devices.

The closing date for applications is on Wednesday 30 March 2022 at 23:59.

We expect interviews to be held remotely on 7th April 2022.

The National Deaf Children's Society is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults and expects staff and volunteers to share that commitment.

We strive to provide an accessible recruitment process.
