Who are Lloyds Banking Group?

Lloyds Banking Group is the UK's leading digital franchise, with over 13 million active online customers across our three main brands - including Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland - as well as the biggest mobile bank in the country. We're building the bank of the future, and we need your help.

Where does the role sit and what will I develop?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Digital Platforms where a new lab is being mobilized to provide an Identity and Authentication Platform as a Service (PaaS). The Platform will need to meet the Strong Customer Authentication regulatory commitments, enable innovation to help lead into the bank of the future and trailblaze within the financial services industry. The Platform will support and grow a wide range of authenticators to serve the Bank's digital channels.

We are committed to delivering a world-class customer experience by building a state-of-the-art Identity & Authentication Platform and enabling our customers to feel safe and secure with their data while accessing our multi-channel digital ecosystem.

As part of the ID & Auth Lab, you will play a key role in delivering world class Identity & Authentication Platform as a Service (PaaS) for Lloyds Banking Group. With a strong focus on technology, you will be working collaboratively with the wider Lab team to define and improve change management processes for the ID & Auth Platform, to decrease the time and cost of delivering change whilst ensuring performance and availability objectives are maintained to ensure the platform is operating effectively and continually evolving.

What Specifically Will I do?

You'll own the overall operations for the ID&Auth platform, including Go live activities, change management, incident and problem response and stakeholder alignment across the business. Collaborating with the wider team to continuously improve delivery/implementation processes through the Route to Live (RTL) ensuring any additional risks are defined, understood and accepted, where required.

Supporting the lab teams to ensure platform changes are designed and delivered strategically to support the Lab's roadmap and goals whilst also ensuring the platform remains Secure, Durable, Deployable, Testable, Supportable, Scalable, Measurable & Tracible!

Implementing new innovative ways of working will be essential in order to enable the Lab to deliver incremental changes to the ID & Auth Platform faster to the customer, and at lower cost through more efficient processes, effective Route to live, optimising the use of automation where possible.

You will define metrics objectively to evaluate release quality in terms of error rate and performance etc and measures to report back to business.

Take a lead on the change management processes to allow delivery of change into production safely, securely and with minimal impact to live services whilst supporting critical business processes and the challenging Category A Service Level Agreements that come with them.

Working with Product Owners to ensure operational requirements are prioritised and delivered in a timely manner to maximise the benefits and release value faster to customers.

What do we need to see in your application?

We like to see a range of diverse applications from different industry and cultural backgrounds, however this is a senior role in a niche technical area critical for our delivery so we also need to see the following experience in your CV's;

A prior background within Release Management working upto a senior level and experience of managing other release managers.

Hands on experience with PaaS/SaaS release management (deployment and version tracking), configuration management and knowledge of tools like Git, Github, Dynatrace, Splunk etc.

Experience designing RTL with both on-prem and cloud hosted infrastructures to deliver change incrementally through increasing levels of automation.

Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior business and technology stakeholders

Working knowledge of DevOps practices like continuous delivery and deployment along with CI/CD tooling

Working experience with agile practices and tools like Jira, confluence etc

If you have worked within regulated industries or financial services before that would be lovely but

Together we make it possible!
