Power BI Developer - £450 PD - HybridOur FTSE250 financial services corporation is currently hiring a Power BI Developer who has strong capabilities in Power BI, SQL and Crystal Reports / FFRS (nice to have) on a 6-month contract basis paying up to £450 PD INSIDE IR 35 to be based in either Chatham or Wolverhampton.
The role of the BI Developer is essential to develop, deploy and maintain the BI interfaces and systems feeding into the BI systems. You will be the champion of building automated data workflows, data models, enterprise reporting and enable self-serve reporting, aligned with the digital transformation strategy.
The main delivery duties will be:
Work with key stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical BI solutions and contribute to solving business problemsWork with the business to define performance metrics, measures, and tracks within the enterprise data warehouseResponsible for the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence and reporting solutions, as well as troubleshooting data related & reporting issuesParticipate in data warehouse design working closely with the data architectResponsible for delivery of reports and dashboardsIdentify, manage and resolve reporting issues reported by the business units as neededResponsible for the evolution and maintenance of the data inventory and associated documentationMonitor data quality/data completeness and instigate improvement projects where any shortcomings are identified.
You should ideally possess experience of the following:
Demonstrable experience of working successfully in either a Power BI developer with a specific focus on data integration, modelling and report development in a large and complex organisation.Highly fluent in SQL, SOA and web services, writing complex SQL queries and system integration design and developmentExperience in build and management across several BI platforms (e.g. Power BI & Business Objects) and API services across different systems.Broad experience with an in-depth understanding of data strategies, data models, ETL/ELT design & development, data-related: tooling, methods, integration, infrastructure, and security models.Experience in Big Data solutions in the data analytics technology landscape.Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Model design.Solid experience in working with data quality, ingestion and transformation tools.Designing complex automated ETL/ELT routines across various data repositories/services.Proven experience in Azure Dev Ops, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and SQL Server management and administration.
