United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) is at the heart of national security for the United Kingdom. In recent years UKSV has transitioned into the Cabinet Office to be at the centre of UK security by joining the Government Security Group (GSG). UKSV are currently undertaking a unique and exciting modernisation programme, a key outcome being the creation of our new security clearance service. As a brand-new service, it will support the future process for issuing, maintaining, evaluating and updating security clearances across government. We need people with digital, data and technology skills to help us succeed.  The Role Understanding our users and iteratively building products and services to meet their needs is the top priority of our product teams. UKSV are building applicant, customer organisation, internal and data products & services and need a range of experience to enable us to deliver a brand-new approach to vetting. This is a green field opportunity to collaboratively shape and build a modern, secure and digital first approach that underpins national security risk assessment in circa 130 organisations. A Lead Service Designer is an expert practitioner who influences and mentors others. At this level, you will be expected to:

Work with service managers and programme directors to develop design concepts,
