We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Delivery Manager to join the Tech & Ops team. This is a key position working in UKTV Tech and Ops team, focused on coordinating the software development that underpins the delivery of UKTVs media supply chain. UKTV has a complex solution built with off the shelf software and in-house development. UKTV has recently embraced Ci/CD and DevOps; building and launching a cloud native media management solution as a key strategic pillar servicing all of UKTVs VoD and Linear Playout

In this role you will get to: Contribute to migrating systems in various phases toward a mature and holistic Ci/CD cycle: Coordinate UKTV development delivery using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently. Drive daily UKTV development delivery with key ceremonies, ensuring constant throughput, unblocking issues and seeking continuous velocity improvement. Work with UKTV stakeholders to coordinate backlog prioritisation based on priorities and feeding back on progress. Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process drive the prioritising, coordinate work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team. Represent the delivery team on the needs, issues and abilities/limitations of the team to ensure delivery focus remains. Report to leadership team on overall progress and velocity. Understand priorities and feedback on delivery impacts based on priorities. Matrix-manage a multidisciplinary team. Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the deployment stage. Actively participate in the UKTV technical community, share and re-apply skills, knowledge and bring in best practice. We are looking for someone who has: Prior experience working in an Agile software delivery environment. Proven understanding of Agile methodologies such as Kanban. Experienced with using Agile delivery tools including Jira and Confluence. Proven experience working in busy delivery environments with multiple deliverables with competing priorities and stakeholders. Comfortable running the daily stand up discussing WIP limits, burndown and backlog grooming with the team. Strong interpersonal skills and able to build strong relationships with various business areas and individuals. Excellent stakeholder management skills, as you will be presenting at board meetings the RAG (Red, Amber, Green) status of various inflight development work to Heads of Departments and senior stakeholders.
