The Head of the Centre for Product Enablement (C4E) is critical to CBS's successful transformation to a Product Model, including Lean-Agile values and principles. As such, this role has a direct impact on the realisation of CBS's strategic goals.
Joining at the very early stages of this transformation, you'll implement the shift from teams organised around projects and fragmented sections of process with multiple hand-offs, to teams based around products or services that deliver repeatable value to internal or external customers.
Drawing from multiple frameworks including the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe), you'll lead a team of experts who will drive and enable fast and efficient change by:
Inspiring and communicating the need for working in a Product Model based on Lean-Agile principles
Using data and insight to understand where action and support is needed to ensure Better Value Sooner Safer Happier (BVSSH) outcomes
Connecting cross-organisation teams and building reusable assets and best practice
The C4E is accountable for the long-term optimisation of the Product Model and will set the strategy for how this is adapted as CBS matures and change landscape changes.
The Head of the Centre for Product Enablement is a highly visible and important role with enormous impact and responsibility. This is not a role tucked away to one side of the organisation, you'll be part of the Products leadership team, alongside the leaders of the Product Groups defining, influencing, supporting and leading delivery of value and service. As such you'll need to be credible communicating and operating up to Executive level and collaborating with and supporting a very wide range of colleagues.
To be in successful in this role you'll need to be a motivational and visible leader across CBS, you will drive a shift in culture from projects to value-based products and services. An authentic ‘servant leader' who takes responsibility for enabling the organisation's success and achieving the Society's shared goals through the CIDO function, ahead of your own objectives.
You will have extensive long-term experience of implementing a Product Model transformation in a £50-£100m + portfolio achieving BVSSH outcomes, and operation of SAFe and multiple agile techniques & frameworks.
You will have strong experience operating as part of a senior team of high performing leaders that can trust, challenge, and rely on each other to be a visible model of empowerment, engagement and performance.
Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred but not essential
Demonstrable experience of leading in a multi team agile environment, developing and inspiring individuals to drive great results and outcomes
Extensive experience of the implementation and operation of SAFe and multiple agile techniques and frameworks
Proven history of coaching, continuous improvement, and value realisation
Confident and capable of inspiring and supporting teams to measure and communication proposed outcomes, value, benefits and risks
Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels
Excellent written, verbal communication and analytical skills across all stakeholder groups.
