Job ID: 41308 We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Draughtsperson to join an established Drawing Office within the Mission Systems Business Stream. Due to the material being of a particularly sensitive nature to the UK and its distribution, this role must be restricted to UK nationals only. For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire DV clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered this post. (Time-frame for obtaining these clearances is 12 months, at least)Mission Systems is a business unit within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group and works with a number of key prestigious clients domestically and internationally. We're based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. Who we are looking for?We are looking for a CAD Draughtsperson that will help to enhance an existing busy team, bringing continuous professionalism to the management of drawings and models, from conception to publication, under the Drawing Service provided to our prestigious customers.As a CAD Draughtsperson, you will utilise your experience and knowledge to survey and accurately record rooms, buildings and associated building services and facilities. What will you be doing?

* Surveying and accurately recording rooms, buildings and associated building services and facilities

* Creating infrastructure designs, drawings and models from survey information

* Produce drawing sets which conform to agreed standards, using approved software packages

* Offer new ideas and concepts to the team

* Be detail orientated and look for technological developments that could enhance the service provision The experience you'll bring * The ability to draw accurately from surveyed data in 2D and 3D using AutoCAD 2019, incorporating AutoCAD Architecture 2019

* Hold a relevant qualification and have demonstrable experience in AutoCAD drawing techniques

* Strong attention to detail

* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar (desirable)

* A working knowledge of systems/infrastructure installation practices

* Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo DV security clearances before taking up this post. (Time-frame for obtaining these clearances is 12 months, at least)
