Technical ArchitectRemote / Manchester
£70,000 - £85,000
A well-known and established media organisation have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Architect to join their team on a permanent basis. The Technical Architect will be working remotely or out of their office in Manchester, employees are required to go into the office just 2 times a month. The Technical Architect will be working within two agile scrum teams, with the proven ability to understand and interpret emerging technologies and integrate them into the business across the digital space. Their platforms have a large amount of traffic on a daily basis so it is essential the Technical Architect is able to keep up within a fast paced environment across multiple platforms and across scalable applications.The Technical Architect will be working with highly skilled software developers, design teams, agile delivery managers, cloud engineers etc to assist in the development of new scalable web-based solutions, as well as re-factoring their current codebase into a modern digital environment within the open source space across an ongoing transformation project. Key Responsibilities:
Strong architectural experience / strong understanding of SOLID and OOO principlesExcellent understanding of open-source technologies Excellent understanding of the whole development lifecyclePlanning and managing sprints and working in an agile environment alongside the product team, CTO, delivery teams etcAssisting in re-factoring their existing code baseEnsuring work is delivered to a high standard and best practices are followed by the development teamExperience working across scalable applicationsStrong experience working with CI and CD pipelines
