About the role

The role is an exciting and challenging new Business Development Manager (BDM) position. Key individual traits required in the role to achieve high success, and high reward, are the best way to elucidate what the essence of the position is. A Planit BDM is highly driven, loves to get results fast and think on their feet. They are professionals at opening new doors, building relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment. Our Business Development Managers enter a sales situation with confidence, eager to engage and discuss Planit's solution offerings. They can quickly identify customer's needs and are persuasive in driving opportunities forward.

They are an experienced professional with strong sales acumen and a strategic growth mindset. Overall, our Business Development Managers are energetic team players with a passion for action and results.

Key responsibilities

Driving growth through the sale of solutions and services to new clients in their local market - always be thinking commercially creative fashion

Focus on delivering outstanding customer experience and outcomes through aligning Planit solutions to meet our customers objectives.

Manage and grow your pipeline, and ensure velocity, removing opportunity obstacles

Drive a profitable pipeline mix by ensuring your pipeline is well balanced across technical testing, quality engineering, business agility, offshoring and digital

Create market and client maps, identifying key targets and generating plans to acquire these into the Planit portfolio in your local area, all while building yours and Planit's network

Meet order intake, revenue and margin targets within the defined parameters; report and forecast accurately

Be an advocate for Planit both into clients, and across the market landscape, from being able to accurately articulate Planit's Value proposition to regularly utilising Social Media

Act professionally, stick to commitments, communicate effectively, be a self-starter with a sense of urgency, and always act to create client advocates and referrals for Planit.

You have a proven ability and the creativity to mould compelling, industry relevant proposals and value propositions

You have experience in engaging with senior business executives

You can whiteboard like a ninja

You are a team player (no lone heroes here)

You have proven experience & are motivated in overachieving budgets & targets

IT, Solutions or Corporate Business consultative sales or new business sales role experience

You have a strong network and quickly grow and build on this
