Business Development Manager
Overview of Role
Our nationwide client is looking for a new Business Development Manager. Whilst the base for this client is in the Scottish central belt, this role is open to anyone within the United Kingdom as they are open to remote candidates.
In this role, you shall be responsible for generating and creating new sales leads and opportunities, whilst also assisting with the growth of strong relationships with potential clients to secure meetings. You will also help in the preparation of proposals and pitches, to make sure that, when necessary, work in relation to these are finalised by appropriate team members.
The role is within a team of sales professionals that are highly specialised and responsible for the creation and the closing of all new business.
What will the role involve?Conducting and analysing marketplace research and trendsIdentify, respond, and manage the sales meeting processContinue to develop future pipelineBuild relationships with key internal stakeholdersRepresent the business by selling a full portfolio of servicesAssist in developing a strong recognised brand and product portfolioAcquiring new client accounts by finding and delivering meetingsBuild strong, multi layered relationships with new clients and supervise that decision makers and key decision influencers are highlighted and taken note ofThe business development manager is responsible for delivering meetings that will meet the minimum requirements of new revenue generation at the set margin levels across all services and for all clientsAchieving agreed meeting targetsCreate reports that are updated with relevant informationHit pre-set KPI`s related towards generating opportunitiesPrepare and help in the delivery of business proposals and presentations for potential clientsHelp in the preparation required for pitchesBe present in new business meetings with the assistance of Group Business Development DirectorBe present in pitches under the guidance of Group Business Development Director to grow your own personal developmentManage and assist the tasks, as well as the performance of Business Development Executive, in relation to KPI's
QualificationsYou have great communication skills; both verbal and writtenComfortable and excellent on the telephoneAccuracy and attention to detailA concrete understanding of the sales process cycleOperate within the pitch process and timelinesAbility to prepare accurate and timely contact reportsCurrent knowledge of all things digitalBe able to commit to and operate within strict deadlinesGreat analytical skills
