I am working with an extremely exciting start up who have grown organically to build a team of 8 with 6 in the Engineering Team and they are looking for a strong Software Engineer to run the back end application. Based in the South West, but through being established and building through the pandemic, my client are flexible on their working model and happy for an engineer to come on site 1 day a week when needed. This position is the perfect step for a Junior Engineer or strong Masters graduate with good project experience to take their next steps in the commercial Software world. Working within the Renewable Energy industry, you will build the Software Design according to specifications for Data, Cloud and API services. Tasks will include managing the back end system built on Python, R, Flask. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with the use of Docker, Git, Kubernetes. Maintain and optimise Cloud architecture in AWS. Work with Data Science & Data Engineers to monitor data pipelines using MySQL, AWS S3, Lambda & TensorFlow/Keras etc. Experience with ETL pipelines, Front end architecture and building APIs, Data Driven Software or Database management is considered a bonus.
