QA Test Automation Engineer Reigate to £70k

QA Test Automation Engineer / Senior Tester *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a skilled QA Engineer with a passion for automation? You could be joining a global FinTech in a role which you can shape and make a real impact, quickly progressing your career in a senior, hands-on position.

As a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer you'll partner with Lead Software Engineers and Product owners to ensure that the correct test strategies and tools are in place to support the product roadmap and lead the execution of these test strategies within a small Agile team environment.

You'll oversee the test activities across the team during the Sprint execution, defining suitable test plans and ensuring committed stories can be closed in a timely manner to avoid bottlenecks and play an active role in design meetings, leading software engineers to ensure testability and best practice are built into the architecture.

You will remain hands-on; developing unit tests and other automated test cases (integration / regression / stress / GUI) using JavaScript and various frameworks / tools (e.g. CypressIO, WebDriverIO, Protractor); refactoring product code as required to make it testable; validating defects raised by other team members and verifying fixes.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you will be based in Reigate in modern, open plan offices within a five minute walk of the station; there's a smart casual dress code and a good work / life balance with continued flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week.

Requirements:

You have experience of designing, developing and executing unit, integration, system and performance tests

You have experience with a JavaScript framework such as CypressIO, WebdriverIO, Protractor or similar with experience of testing js, React, Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks

You have a good understanding of CI/CD, REST APIs

You have experience of working in an Agile / Scrum team

Ideally you will have some team / technical leadership experience and be keen to progress in this area

You're collaborative with excellent communication skills
