Client DetailsA global Retail business based in Oxfordshire is seeking a Project Manager Business Intelligence. DescriptionReporting to the Programme Manager, the Business Intelligence Project Manager is responsible for managing the successful delivery of the Power BI Business Intelligence projects and ensuring the PowerBI Business Intelligence systems and solutions are stable, reliable and well supported. This role will ensure:the management of the Business Intelligence area such that projects, continuous development and support are delivered on time, to budget, and with the anticipated level of business benefita high level of structure in the project teams with appropriate governance and adherence to formal frameworks (in a way that is aligned to teams agile way of working)the project's financial performance, risks and issues are closely monitored and clearly communicated to IT and business leadersThe Project Manager will be the single point of contact for the business and IT management team and will lead the exploitation of the Business Intelligence portfolio ensuring that the aims and progress are understood, standards are followed and quality is consistently high.ProfileExtremely strong project management and change management background with a demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focused Project / Programme environments containing blended teams (e.g. permanent, contract, vendor, SI, Business/IT/operational teams, offshore).Essential competency / experience:Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, at least 2 of which are leading complex business change programmesAble to demonstrate experience of project deliveryFormal project management qualificationsA thorough understanding of all different aspects of project management, and can explain and direct others to deliver theseExposure to data warehouse projects or similar data projectsRelevant experience managing PowerBI / Business Intelligence projectsExperience of reporting into steering group levelExcellent interpersonal communications skillsExtremely well organised and detail orientedConfident, driven and have a strong determination to succeedDesirable competency / experience:Certified in Agile / Scrum techniquesExperience in full spectrum of Software Development LifecycleA good understanding of cyber security and system supportExposure to data standards, concepts, and data governance best practiceUnderstanding of Salesforce, Oracle Financials, SAP SuccessFactors, MRI Software, Planon, and Microsoft BI stackJob OfferA chance to join a Digital transformation at inception and take a key role in shaping and delivering the Business Intelligence strategy for this global retail business in Oxfordshire as the Project Manager Business Intelligence.
