Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland and is accountable to Parliament and the public through Scottish Ministers, with a budget of around £3.5 billion per year. Transport is a vital feature of the Scottish Government's focus on increasing sustainable economic growth, and transport investments and policies have major impacts on the economy, people, and the environment. For more information, please visit www.transport.gov.scot

Transport Scotland's smart and integrated ticketing (SIT) team is at the forefront of smart travel services in Scotland, where successful programme outcomes deliver enhanced ease of use through smart ticketing and payment options, digital travel information and platforms like Mobility as a Service, plus other benefits to public transport users in Scotland.

We are now seeking a Smart Project Manager to join us with delivering national smart ticketing projects across all public transport modes (such as the new free bus travel scheme for under 22's) as well as smart payment, card and mobile application developments, and support and champion growth of smart schemes with public transport operators and public sector delivery partners across Scotland.

By modernising and making access to public transport easier and more convenient, the SIT programme aims to encourage model shift to more sustainable public transport and reduce car journeys, delivering against key Government objectives to lower carbon emissions and take climate action. The role is therefore part funded by the Low Carbon Travel and Transport Programme under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
