Opportunity for an experienced Microsoft 365 Reporting Specialist to join an established team within a world leading organisation and play a key role in the organisation's growing use of Power Platform.

The UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We work with a wide range of data partners to chart the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations.

At the UKHO we utilise the Microsoft 365 platform for collaboration and information management tasks. SharePoint and Dynamics 365 have been selected as a corporate capability, along with the growing use of Power Platform services to create reports and automate business processes.

The role

The successful candidate will join our SharePoint team who are responsible for the technical delivery of numerous strategic SharePoint/Dynamics solutions as well as providing support with operational Microsoft 365 / Power Platform services to both UKHO staff and external customers.

The Senior Microsoft Power Platform Specialist will provide support and guidance to customers on their use of various Microsoft 365 technologies and will manage UKHO's growing use of Power Platform and act as a technical authority with regards to its use, development and maintenance.

Working with users across the business, they will make use of predictive analytics, machine learning and AI techniques, simulations, optimisation and automation. Making recommendations to improve processes and the ability to collect and compile data from different sources forms a key part of the role.

The ideal candidate will have a constructive approach to problem solving and the ability to translate complex customer requirements into customer needs. They will also have the ability to use their experience to select the appropriate combination of MS365 services to deliver the required outcome.

Experience at associate level of delivering reporting solutions through Microsoft365 and Power Platform is essential, as is experience of SQL Database structure and scripting and experience of producing formal technical specifications.

The opportunity to undertake the Level 6 Digital and Technology solutions apprenticeship or equivalent is available in this role.

A possible Recruitment and Retention Allowance (RRA) of up to £5k for suitable candidates. After successfully completing 12 months in the role there is the opportunity to apply to have your skills and experience assessed against the Office 365 Pay Progression Framework. Subject to skills / experience the total RRA available is up to £8,000 pa including the recruitment element of the RRA offered on appointment.
