Excellent opportunity for an energy consultant to join an innovative and rapidly expanding company within the energy efficiency sector in an autonomous role where you will receive support in your self development and scope to process.

This well-established company are an M&E building consultancy specialising in creating energy efficient solutions for a range of commercial, historical and residential buildings. They have thrived in recent years and have exciting plans for the future growth of the business, and as a result they are now looking to expand their team of highly skilled team of consultants to facilitate success moving forward.

In this role, the consultant will be responsible for leading the Energy Consultancy Team and delivering energy elements of building designs. You will support less experienced members of the team, carry out energy modelling and thermal performance of buildings, produce designs and tender documentation and present reports to senior management and clients.

The ideal candidate will have a background as an energy consultant or in energy management. You must be degree qualified and understand engineering principals, have excellent reporting skills and have a clear understanding of building regulations.

The Role:

*Lead Energy Consultancy team, supporting junior members and reports into director

*Deliver the energy elements / tasks for building design projects to ensure energy efficiency

*Undertake energy modelling using relevant software, and analyse thermal performance of buildings

*Produce designs and tender documentation

*Liaise with mechanical and electrical engineers to find an energy efficient solution

*Prepare energy reports and statements

*Present reports to clients and senior team

*Hybrid working (mixture of office based, remote working and site visits)

The Person:

*Degree in a relevant discipline, or HND

*Experience in an energy consultant role

*Knowledge of HVAC, renewable systems, refrigeration etc.

*Understanding of mechanical services and engineering principals

*Clear understanding of current and future building regulations

*Excellent report writing skills

*Ability to present to clients and management

*Full UK Driving License
