As a 3rd Line Service Desk Engineer you responsible for providing excellent technical support to our clients customers, with a particular excellence for network support. You will also act as the point of escalation for junior colleagues within the IT Team. Key Responsibilities:Provide expert knowledge and support directly to the customer base, be it end users or IT Managers and Directors.Help ensure that all incidents, problems, and service requests meet SLA's either directly or by assisting your colleagues.Resolve critical incidents to include documenting reports for customers.Take a pro-active approach to Problem Management to prevent problems from occurring ensuring excellent service continuity for our customers. ProfileKey Experience:You're an experienced systems administrator and/or 3rd Line Engineer with 2 years' experienceYou will have demonstrable experience in maintaining and managing technical solutions to organisations with 100+ usersYou're able to think logically, have good problem-solving skills and able to work under pressureYou will have an excellent attention to detail with excellent documentation skillsKey Skills:Detailed knowledge of switching, routing and VPN protocols and techniques e.g. OSPF, Multicast, VRRP, Spanning Tree, IPSEC & SSL VPN, QoS etc., across multiple platforms (Cisco OR Juniper OR Fortinet).Knowledge of various IP network technologies including mobile phone (GPRS, 3G & HSDPA), wireless Microwave (PtP & PtMP, licensed & un-licensed), Wi-Fi and wired systems including ADSL, CAT5/6 & fibre.Knowledge of configuring of network management platforms (such as Solarwinds OR Cisco OR FortiManager).Experience supporting a SIP/VOIP telephony systems.Good understanding of networking, including experience working with IPv4 and IPv6.Proactive management and monitoring & troubleshooting operational issues.Advantageous Skills:Knowledge of various IP based electronic security equipment including digital codec's, cameras and NVR'sCloud networking technologies (VMware NSX-T, Azure, AWS etc)Hands on experience of supporting Operational activities & troubleshooting in all areas of Windows/VMWare, Storage and Backup infrastructureDesirable Qualification:Cisco ICND/CCNAFortinet NSE4Juniper JNCIAAzure Fundamentals/Administrator AssociateJob OfferSalary: £33,500pa
