At PSR we are the go-to place for talented contractors and temps for a rich variety of public sector roles.As a User Researcher, your main responsibilities would be: Sit within the Customer Service and Insight team and be embedded into multidisciplinary project teams and responsible for planning and carrying out user research activitiesPlan, design and carry out research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the people that use the organisation's servicesHelp your teams develop a deep understanding of the people - citizens, businesses, or government colleagues - who use the serviceHelp the team continuously improve services based on data and evidenceConduct research sessions, define user needs, build surveys You'll have relevant experience in:Experience of user research for government services and the GDS service standard assessment.Understand how to apply basic techniques for the analysis of research data and synthesis of findings, working within a team to do so.Understand the diversity of users and the need to make services usable and accessible for everyone.Experience of basic user research methods, knowing when to use those methods and how to apply them correctly.Understand the social and technological context for the services and being able to align user research activities to help your team understand changing user behaviour.Knowledge of the technologies used to build and operate digital services.Experience of a range of user-centred practices and knowledge of how to work with colleagues to plan and do continuous user research in a multidisciplinary team.
