One of our clients is looking for 2 x UAT Test Engineers to join the company on a 6 month contract ASAP. The role is Outside IR35, paying up to £350 and the successful candidate will have to be on site in the Bristol office 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities of the role

* Work as part of a cross functional systems test team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.

* Work closely with the software development team, Product Management and Customer Support Teams as well as business users and Senior Management, as required.

* Author test scenario's, building test suites to ensure that the products meet customer requirements focusing on usability and end to end user scenarios

* Validate user operation as per the User Manual and Product Management UAT requirements

* Ensure that all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the System test manager on the status of progress and quality.

* Document and maintain a log of all test cases, scenarios/charters and test results

Skills and Experience

Essential:

* 3 years' experience of product-level UAT testing of PC applications, web applications preferable in large scale systems.

* Minimum two years' experience as a test engineer.

* Proven experience in software verification and validation including functional, regression, scenario, load, usability, stress and performance testing.

* Some experience of integration testing of networked solutions over LAN and WAN infrastructure.

* Experience of working with relational databases to retrieve data.

* Experience of working with Agile development methodologies.

* Working with modern web-based applications.

* A positive and enthusiastic outlook with a passion for testing.

* Ability to adapt quickly and understand complex systems, new functions and features and apply ad-hoc test methodology during the development and full life cycle of a product.

* Ability to use a systematic approach to prioritise tasks

* High standard of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to describe test procedures and issue reports in detail

Desirable:

* Experience using test case management tools such as test link, test rail or Quality Centre

* Recognised software QA/Test qualification - e.g. BCS ISTQB Foundation or Certified Agile Tester.

* Degree educated in a relevant discipline (e.g Computer Science, Computer Engineering)

* Familiarity with source control tools (e.g. Bit-Bucket)
