One of our clients are looking for an experienced Weapons/Maintenance Engineer to join them on a contract basis.
Inside IR35
SC clearance required
Based at Abbey Wood with travel to other various sites
Expected start in September 2022, role is expected to continue until the end of March 2025
Typical tasks involved include to:
*Actively seek out non-conformant duplicate and redundant data within defined delegations. Initiate and coordinate external action where necessary.
*Coordinate resolution of feedback on data issues (e.g. S2022,CIAP, ODMS and UMMS feedback)
*Ensure data rights, support and business needs and are captured and configured against the data that they relate to
*Perform audit of system data quality and manage shortfalls.
Additional tasks may include:
*Provide support to ILS activity including retrospective FMECA and RCM studies. Assist in ILS and RCM investigations by providing expert data analytics and document/data recovery
*Produce and maintain Dashboards and other Management and Business Information to support Availability Working Groups, In-Service Capability Management Boards, Platform Safety and Environmental Committee meetings and other meetings and forums as required by the relevant DE&S Authority.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills
Essential:
*Experience within the UK Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) environment and / or:
*Experience in the UK / International Defence Industry
*Practical experience of operating and maintaining a modern warship
*Experienced Weapons or Maintenance Engineer
*Experience of the data and the tools involved in the above
Desirable:
*Experience of Def Stan 00-600 and surrounding policies / processes (e.g. for Technical Documentation, Reliability, Maintainability and Safety)
*Understanding of data bases such as MCWE, DSTAN, SOCS Data Portal, SSDD, LIDB etc
*Experience in Supportability based activities and analysis, for example; Case Reports, Level of Repair Analysis (LoRA), Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) etc.
