Are you a natural leader with experience in leading large geographically dispersed teams and harnessing IT to help a business achieve its goals? If so, we have a great opportunity for a Competency Centre Manager to join our IT department!

The role

The role will see you continue to run and evolve the existing and successful Microsoft Dynamics 365 Competency Centre. This will involve developing the strategy, roadmap and engagement and delivery mechanisms for all change activities related to Dynamics.

The role is also responsible for delivering the required Dynamics functionality to group companies and business functions, enabling them to meet their operational and strategic aims, as well as supporting functionality post implementation.

We currently have a large portfolio of work taking place within the Competency Centre as we grow the Dynamics 365 platform for a growing number of business-critical areas.

You will be the focal point within and outside the IT department for all things Dynamics. You should be able to deliver Dynamics capability to the agreed scope, quality, schedule and budget while adhering to all internal processes.

What do I need?

To really flourish within this role and team, we are looking for an individual with several years of experience in the strategic planning and delivery of point solutions into strategic platforms (ideally in Dynamics). This includes the ability to identify appropriate product roadmaps which align with business needs and IT strategy.

Equally important is your people and line management and communication experience. You need to be an inspirational leader for the team; challenging ways of working while maintaining delivery excellence for Wessex Water. You'll be engaging with a wide range of senior internal and external stakeholders, so you need to demonstrate your influencing ability and skill to explain complex technical matters in terms relevant to your audience.

You should be an efficient problem solver, with the capability to work in a fast-paced environment that has rapidly evolving targets. It would also be valuable for you to have a good understanding of the Dynamics product roadmaps.

As the Dynamics Competency Centre will be delivered through a mix of UK and overseas resources, travel to Malaysia will be required.
