Maintenance Engineer (Process Plant)Middlesbrough£32,000 - £35,000 + Training + Pension + Holidays + Overtime AvailableAre you a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking to upskill and acquire long-term career value by gaining further hands-on training on chemical process and renewable energy plant?This leading energy company specialises in the production of biofuel and renewable energy from natural waste and operates several major bioenergy sites across the UK. In line with their continued growth at one of their key sites they are looking for a new Maintenance Engineer to join the team and help drive positive improvements to the maintenance culture on site.In this role you will be involved in the maintenance, servicing, operation and overhaul of an industrial-scale chemical process plant. This will cover key pieces of plant such as pumps, pipework, boilers, gearboxes, valves and heat exchangers.The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background doing maintenance work in a process plant such as for the Biogas, Wastewater, Energy-from-Waste, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Pharmaceutical industries. Other multi-skilled backgrounds such as ex-forces or marine engineers will also be suitable for this position.This is a great role for someone looking to advance a career simultaneously in the renewable energy and chemical processing industries where they can benefit from supportive management and on-the-job training that will help them to grow in their profession as a highly competent and valuable engineer.The role:

* Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance for plant e.g pumps, pipework, generators

* Servicing of plant such as storage tanks, boilers etc

* Supporting during plant shutdowns and carrying out overhauls for rotating equipment

* Fault finding and identifying potential for long-term improvements to plant

* Monitoring and operating plant using SCADA

The person:

* Post-apprenticeship experience in mechanical maintenance

* Experience working in a process plant environment e.g Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Chemicals

* Ex-forces Engineers also strongly considered

* Welding experience (desirable)

* CHP/Steam plant experience (desirable)

* Full UK driving license
