Senior Actuarial Analyst (Systems) - London/Remote Senior Actuarial Analyst (Systems) - London/Remote This role can be Remote Working/based in London The duration of this contract is 20-weeks The pay rate on offer is up to £515 per day (Inside IR35 - via Umbrella ONLY) This role is working for a multinational insurance corporation with operations in more than 80 countries and jurisdictions About the role What you need to know:This role sits within the Actuarial Systems team, which has the primary focus of managing the updates to actuarial data and models. The Actuarial Systems team is looking to grow to meet the demands of the company's plans. The role will report to the Actuarial Systems Manager and the Head of Actuarial Reporting & Systems leads the team. Key Responsibilities: Modelling Maintain and enhance the Mo.Net model (e.g. developing the model to allow for new products, product features or regulatory changes).Improve the user experience of the Mo.Net model by proposing and carrying out changes that make the model more efficient, transparent, robust and accurate.Respond to queries by the wider team.Data Maintain and enhance the Actuarial Oracle Data Warehouse (e.g. updating the extract to allow for new products, features or regulatory changes).Improve the user experience of the Data Warehouse by proposing and carrying out changes that make the procedures more efficient, controlled, documented and fit for purpose.First line support for any Data Warehouse issues.Other Supporting the team to work in a more agile manner (e.g. sprints, stand-ups and pursuing continuous integration).Developing & maintaining tools used by the Actuarial department outside of the data and cash flow model (e.g. Python, spreadsheets, Power BI). Technical skills and expertise:Experience developing within cash flow modelling tools (e.g. Mo.Net, Prophet, RiskAgility Financial Modeller (RAFM)).Experience in coding (e.g. SQL, VBA and Python).Numerical degree achieving 2.1 or higher.2+ years' experience working in a UK Life actuarial team.Experience and good working knowledge of the UK Protection market.Knowledge and understanding of reporting and the principle cash flows for Protection business.
