Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Windows / Citrix or Remote Access / MS 365 / SCCM / Intune / Azure Virtual Desktop / 3rd Line Support

The Security, Service and Operations team delivers change quickly, operates our IT services securely and embraces new technology to drive service excellence for our 5 million customers and 3,500 colleagues.

We are now looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join us on this journey. This means no two days will ever be the same but as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will need to really own it and can expect your role to involve:

Design, develop, support (3rd line) and maintain effective & efficient infrastructure services used for the delivery of IT solutions across all areas of the Kelda Group.

Defining best practice use of the infrastructure services, managing detailed infrastructure risks and implementing associated mitigating controls, identifying opportunities to innovate through the existing infrastructure, and contributing to the overall infrastructure strategy enhancing or protecting value and meeting Regulatory and operational requirements.

Support the identification of Technology Partners within their technology space/discipline; then ensuring that you work with them to enhance the services provided, reduce cost, manage risk, bud resilience, and offer value for money.

Provide peer review and mentoring of more junior team members.

It goes without saying that we are looking for individuals who are great communicators and comfortable conversing and influencing senior leadership stakeholders. A Senior Infrastructure Engineer who fosters a culture of excellence by defining and refining methods, standards, governance and assurance and is a technical expert and champion of data, technology and analytics throughout everything they do.

What skills are we looking for:

 Essential:

Proven experience of leading the design, build, delivery and administration of robust and reliable enterprise infrastructure services within a complex and varied environment.

Technical skillset to include a large proportion of the following:

Citrix (or equivalent Virtual Desktop hosted application) - Netscalers and PVS Images

Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop administration

Virtualisation skills (preferably VMWare VSphere & ESXi 6.5), vMotion, creation of Production and QA VM's, 4

Windows 10 (all releases) - administration and configuration, builds

PowerShell Scripting

Active Directory design, configuration & administration.

Group Policy configuration and troubleshooting, including regression.

SCCM

DNS and DHCP

Office 365 - Exchange Administration, Maintenance, Migrations, Security Patching

Intune Administration (iOS, Windows)

Azure Administration and Maintenance

Desirable

Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019

Microsoft WSUS

HP iLO Remote Server Management

McAfee EPO Virus protection - Administration & Client - Portal Knowledge

Netmotion VPN Solution (Client Administration, Deployment and Troubleshooting)

Previous experience in an operational and/or strategic leadership role in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.

ITIL Certification
