This employer is one of the world's finest audio equipment manufacturers. Their loudspeaker systems and associated electronics power some of finest, recording studios cinemas and nightclubs around the globe. Their team of dedicated and highly experienced engineers, create and manufacture the very highest-quality systems at their factory in Leicester UK.

Having traditionally shunned an outward market presence, typically selling to professional users worldwide, they are now looking to open their doors by developing a fully-featured online presence, incorporating informational, retail and interactive web platforms.

The new development will be completed in conjunction with an external digital agency with whom the employer has an existing close relationship.

This unique opportunity gives the successful candidate the opportunity to take one of the best new audio companies and place it on the world stage.

They are looking for a junior full stack web developer to join the company, the role will be the sole in-house position for web development. The position will require the candidate to be self-motivated and proactive. They will be working with their in-house creative team and will be communicating directly with Director Level management.

This is a twelve month contract with option to extend indefinitely.

Salary will be based upon experience between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum. The role will be based at their offices in Leicester. Initial interviews will take place via video conference.

Essential Requirements:

- Full stack web developer

- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

- BEM methodology and SASS

- Knowledge of PHP

- Object oriented, MVC experience such as Symfony or Laravel

- GIT experience

- Cross-browser and device compatibility knowledge

- A passion for the web and an eagerness to learn

- Excellent communication skills. Are comfortable with and confident in liaising colleagues

- Experience with design software such as Figma or Sketch

- Have an interest in Audio/Sound is beneficial

- Are self-motivated, take the initiative and have a can-do attitude as well as efficient

- Contribute to the development, support and maintenance of the web platform

- Design new sections of the website, using good judgement and creativity to design successful solutions

- Liaise with colleagues to agree decisions regarding costs, risks and future developments

- Liaise with external providers to assess and select suitable additions to the website

You will have a direct impact on their development at this exciting growth stage. Therefore they expect the successful candidate to be interested in the business growth preferably with an interest in audio.
