The role:
The organization is seeking a Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer to offer technical thought leadership, developing in-demand product focused value proposals and to deliver technical leadership in both developing and presenting exciting new projects in different market sectors across the world that includes Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, Aerospace, Drives, electric propulsion systems with the use of ground-breaking power electronics technology.
Salary:
The salary on offer for the successful Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.
Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer Key Skills & Experience:
5-10+ years industry experienceHands on experience of power electronics & system designKnowledge & experience of electronics circuit design (analogue/digital)PCB Design & Schematic Capture skillsIn depth knowledge and experience in the design and development of Battery Systems, Motor Drives / Inverters / SMPSDesign of SMPS’s (DC-DC, AC-DC), Inverters (DC-AC)Low and high voltage design systemsLow & high-power design systemsDC-DC / PSU / OBC product designBattery chargers - on-board and fast chargers’ designMagnetics (power transformers, inductors) designIGBT, MOSFETSTopologies such as flyback, buck/boost, linear, multiphase, full/half bridge, push/pull etc.SPICE-based simulation tools Simetrix, PLECS, Simetrix, LTspice, MATLAB/SIMULINK
Desirable & advantageous skills to have:
