Solar PV Design EngineerWest Midlands£30,000 - £40,000 + Pension + Holidays + Progression OpportunitiesAre you a Design Engineer with Solar PV experience or a Design Engineer who is looking to grow their career in the booming Renewable Energy industry with a rapidly growing business that has recently secured several major long-term contracts?This company specializes in the installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial scale Solar PV, EV and Biomass across the Midlands. They have almost tripled in size over the past 18 months and are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Design Engineer to specialise with or without training in Solar PV.In this role you will be responsible for the design of Solar PV systems to meet customer requirements by using CAD software such as PVsyst and PV*SOL. You will be working closely alongside both the upper management team and the installations team to provide support where needed throughout the design and installation phases of projects.The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level, will have practical CAD experience and will have experience within the Solar industry using PVsyst/PV*SOL or will have a clear interest in making the move into the industry and an aptitude for learning new CAD software.This is a great role for someone who wants to be a part of a bustling new business where they can enjoy the benefits of being part of a tight-knit group of specialists as well as the career advantages that come from contributing to the growth of an up-and-coming company.The role:

* Undertaking training in PVsyst and PV*SOL if necessary

* Producing CAD drawings for Solar PV systems

* Liaising with customers to ensure requirements are understood and addressed

* Engaging with budgeting and pricing of Solar projects

The person:

* Experience in Solar PV design using PVsyst/PV*SOL, or educated to Degree level and experience in CAD

* Happy with travel to client sites where necessary

* Strong communication skills and capable of liaising with multiple parties e.g customers, engineers and managers
